More Valuable Information on How to Use Infana-D:
IT IS EASY!
Take 1 drop daily as recommended by your pediatrician:
Turn the bottle completely upside down. There is no need to shake the bottle, one measured drop of Infana-D will fall out itself in 10-20 seconds. If a drop does not appear, place the bottle back right side up, wait 30 seconds and repeat. This will allow the liquid to redistribute. After the drop dispenses, immediately return the bottle to the upright position to prevent a second drop from being released.
Infana-D may be put on food, added to a drink or licked from a clean surface like a nipple or spoon.
Vitamin D Supplementation for Infants
Getting off to a healthy start! A foundation of building strong teeth and bones is Vitamin D. Vitamin D supplementation with Infana-D (just one drop) can help your child receive the appropriate daily amount of Vitamin D recommended by American Academy of Pediatrics:
The current AAP recommendation is that all infants and children should have a minimum intake of 400 IU (International Units) of vitamin D per day beginning soon after birth.1.
To achieve this, The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfed infants and others receive Vitamin D supplementation:
Pediatricians should encourage parents of infants who are either breastfed or consuming less than 1 liter (just under 1 quart, or 33.8 ounces) of infant formula per day to give their infants an oral Vitamin D supplement to meet the current AAP recommendation.2
